Connecting your bank brings your transactions into Billroo automatically, so your budget stays up to date without any typing. The connection is read-only: we can see your balances and transactions, but we can never move your money or make payments. 🔒

🇦🇺 In Australia, we connect through Open Banking (the Consumer Data Right), a government-backed system, using our accredited partner Fiskil.
🇺🇸 In the US, we connect through Plaid, which lots of well-known finance apps use to connect to US banks.

Never with us! 🔐 Your bank login never goes to Billroo. We never see it and we never store it.

🇦🇺 In Australia, with Open Banking, you generate an API for read-only access—meaning we can see your transactions but never touch your money! 💸

🇺🇸 In the US, most big banks (like Chase, Wells Fargo and Capital One) send you to your bank’s own website or app to log in. Your bank then gives Plaid a secure token, like a digital key, so Plaid never sees your password. With some smaller banks, you type your login into Plaid’s own secure window instead. Either way, Billroo never gets it.

Only trusted, regulated providers can access your data, and you choose exactly which accounts to share. ✅
